TGE signs deals for three LNG bunker vessels

TGE Marine Gas Engineering said it signed two contracts for the design and supply of the cargo handling system, LNG fuel gas system and LNG cargo tanks for two bunker vessels.

In December 2014, TGE Marine Gas Engineering signed the contract for one firm and one optional vessel for an LNG bunker ship of 6,500 m3 capacity with STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, Korea.

The ship was ordered by Shell and is scheduled to be delivered in 2016. The bunker vessel shall operate from Rotterdam port and serve clients operating in the ECA zones of the North and Baltic Seas.

The second contract was signed for the 5,800 m3 capacity LNG bunker ship “Coralius” with Anthony Veder group through the newly formed JV Sirius Veder Gas AB. The ship has been long term chartered by Skangass and shall serve the Skagerrak, Kattegat and Baltic Sea areas from the beginning of 2017.
