TNK-BP Completes Construction of New Gas Pipeline

TNK-BP announced completion of construction of a gas pipeline from its Verkhne-Kolik-Yoganskoe field to the Bakhilovskaya Compressor Station.

The pipeline is 13.4 km long and has a throughput capacity of 300 million cubic meters per year. The total project investment amounted to 410 mln rubles.

The commissioning of the gas pipeline from the Verkhne-Kolik-Yoganskoe field to the Bakhilovskaya Compressor Station was the final stage of a program to expand infrastructure embarked on by Yugragazpererabotka (a joint venture between TNK-BP and Sibur). The new pipeline capacity will contribute to consistent growth of associated petroleum gas supplies from that group of fields from 1.2 bcm in 2011 to 1.5 bcm in 2013.

“The completion of the gas pipeline construction and the increase in supplies of associated gas to the Yugragazpererabotka processing plant will facilitate further growth in TNK-BP gas business efficiency which is viewed as one the Company’s strategic objectives. The implementation of that project plays an important role in attaining our priority goal of brining the level of utilization of that valuable commodity to 95% by 2015”, said Andrey Komarov, Vice President, Gas and Power, TNK-BP.
