Toho Gas to up LNG use by 3.3 pct in 2015

Japan’s Toho Gas, that recently signed a HOA with Petronas for the purchase of LNG, revealed that it plans to increase the use of the chilled gas by 3.3% to 3.08 million mt compared with the previous year. 

The company is looking to diversify its LNG sources and optimize the procurement of LNG, according to a company statement.

The company also revealed it will speed up its plans to build the Chita-Midorihama third LNG tank that is set for completion in August 2016, while beginning to construct a boil-off gas reliquefaction device also set for completion in August 2016.

The company plans to up the gas sales volume by 67 million cubic meters to 3,936 million cubic meters, an increase of 1.7%, it added.
