Tokyo Gas in Japan’s first, CNG-fuelled LNG lorry

Tokyo Gas of Japan said it will start using the country’s first CNG-fuelled lorry trucks for deliveries of LNG starting in December.

According to a statement by Tokyo Gas, the use of CNG as a fuel for the lorry trucks is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 5-10%.

More than 95% of the city gas provided by Tokyo Gas is sourced from LNG. The utility has several long-term LNG contracts and imports more than 10 million tons of LNG a year.
