Angola LNG Ships First Cargo

Angola LNG, the Soyo-based facility built to create value from Angola’s offshore gas resources, confirmed that production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has safely commenced at the Angola LNG plant in Soyo and that its first cargo has been shipped on Sunday. This marks the first new LNG supply to come on-stream since 2010, and provides a new source to meet the increasing global demand for LNG.

Roof Raised on First APLNG Tank, Australia

Two years ago, the Australia Pacific LNG project broke ground on Curtis Island, marking the first step in the four year construction of the LNG facility. Last Friday 14 June the Project successfully raised the roof of one of two LNG storage tanks – an event marking the halfway mark on the journey to first LNG export in mid-2015.

Cyprus Approves LNG Terminal Deal

Cyprus Cabinet approved the decision for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the companies Noble Energy International, Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration for the LNG terminal, the deputy government spokesman, Victoras Papadopoulos said.

South Korea: Steel Cutting Ceremony Held for Ichthys FPSO

The INPEX – operated Ichthys LNG Project cut first steel yesterday for the hull of its Floating Production, Storage and Off loading (FPSO) facility in Okpo, Korea.
