Trinidad and Tobago: LNG Production Down in 2011

Trinidad and Tobago’s LNG production in 2011 dropped 8.1% on year, according to the Ministry of Energy.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Point Fortin LNG terminal produced 14,664,884 mt of LNG in 2011.

The country’s LNG shipments also declined last year to 13,647,298 mt, down 8.3% compared to the year before.

Point Fortin LNG is one of the world’s largest producers of liquefied natural gas and the plant consists of four trains.

It has a capacity of 15.5 million mt per annum.
