VIDEO: QCLNG Project Update (Australia)
BG posted a video update of its Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project being built in Australia.
The LNG project is more than 70 percent complete, and BG remains on track to get gas to Curtis Island around the end of the year.
Queensland Curtis LNG is one of Australia’s largest capital infrastructure projects, involving US$20.4 billion of investment from 2010-14.
On completion, the LNG plant will comprise two LNG trains – each able to produce more than four million tonnes of LNG a year, two storage tanks each able to hold about 140,000 m3 of LNG, a marine facility for passenger and equipment transportation between the mainland and Curtis Island, and marine loading facilities for LNG cargoes.
The LNG plant will receive natural gas from production wells in southern Queensland via a 540km pipeline.
