Repaired Vessel Chang Tong Leaves CIC Lixin Shipyard

On February 20th, the vessel Chang Tong, repaired CIC Lixin Shpiypard, set sail one day ahead of schedule. The subject vessel arrived at Lixin Shipyard on Feb. 11th. The repair period was 11 days and her main work included the steel renewal of lower sloping plates i.w.o. No.2 & 3 cargo holds, the protection round bar renewal of NO.1-5 hatch coamings, the repair of fire pipes & vent pipes on main deck, the renewal of anchor chains and etc…

The yard arranged the production schedule in advance. The workshop organized labor forces positively to meet the owner’s requirement on repair quality & period. Every department, the supervisor and the repair managers cooperated closely to overcame the difficulties of cold weather and tight working space, which laid the sound foundation for the vessel’s delivery on time.

On Feb. 17th, when testing anchor chains, the yard found one problem on No.7th shot. The yard’s production department immediately arranged the staff to handle the emergent issue and by 20:00 on the same day, the yard had solved the problem which ensured the vessel’s delivery. After finally test, the ship set sail 1 day ahead of schedule.
