Azimut Grande 105’ Meets with Great Success at Beirut Boat 2012

Represented by its own exclusive dealer, BluePoint Yachting LTD, Azimut Grande 105’ meets with great success at Beirut Boat 2012, Lebanon’s first boat show and one of the most important boating events in the Middle East for luxury yachts. The boat has a new appealing design and fine finishes, offering boat owners total privacy, comfortable spacious onboard living, as well as an elegant, refined decor.

Consisting of planing boats over thirty metres, Azimut Grande is the most exclusive yacht range in the Azimut collection. Since January 2011, together with other Benetti gems, it has formed part of the Azimut Benetti Group’s “mega yacht” business line.

The ambitious design brings together Azimut’s recognised technological leadership in high-performance boat building with Benetti’s experience in developing custom solutions and managing customer relations during the different construction phases: Azimut Grande has benefited from Benetti’s expertise in advanced design and construction technologies in the mega yacht sector, and boat owners now have a wide range of options thanks to Benetti’s semi-custom boat production.

Other than the position of a few of the yacht’s key elements (such as the engines, bilges, and main bulkheads) the boat owners’ have been given free rein to select furnishings, decor, fabrics, and materials, combining their personal style with that of the boat’s architecture and the solutions proposed by the boatyard.

The design of the exteriors was entrusted to Stefano Righini, while interior design stemmed from Carlo Galeazzi.

Already a successful model in the boatyard’s product line, today it forms part of the new Azimut Grande Collection, featuring stylistic and design updating. The hull sports a new coat – now painted white – and the windows has been restyled, with both changes creating exterior lines that are more modern and assertive, in line with the future-oriented vision and the dynamic energy of this modern yacht.

The fly, with a large lounge bar, has free-standing furniture to ensure total enjoyment of the cruising experience, relaxing while sipping a drink in the stern skylounge.

The internal fittings of the 105’ are also a result of this expanded range of customisation options; they have been designed and built to the boat owner’s exact specifications. In this case, the owner wanted a classic, warm and welcoming style; so, the yacht has been detailed with mahogany and feather mahogany finishes. These luxurious touches are also found in the oak parquet flooring, and Bisazza Marble in the bathrooms, as well as in the furnishings which were specially designed for this boat by Rugiano Design.

The internal layout also reflects the boat owner’s needs; it has been designed and engineered for total privacy throughout, with spacious and comfortable onboard living spaces. The boat owner wanted to dedicate the bow area on the main deck to a media room, one which would be convertible at a moment’s notice into a guest room (should the existing guest cabins – two twins and one VIP at full beam below with the boat owner’s cabin – not be sufficient).

Even the engine has been redesigned and increased to 2400 HP, further accentuating the dynamic and brilliant character of this fly yacht.
