China: Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Starts Construction of Two Bulkers

On Sept. 26, Managing GM Xu Lirong was invited to attend the commencement ceremony at Qin Huang Dao for the 76.000 DWT bulk carriers to be delivered to Shen Hua CS shipping company. The 76K class vessel, to be built by CSIC’s  Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Heaving Industry Company Ltd, will not only further expend the fleet of Shen Hua CS shipping company, but also symbolize a new height of the cooperation between China Shipping and Shen Hua Group.

Governor of Heibei People’s government Zhang Qingwei announced the commencement of the construction of the vessel at the ceremony, which was attended by Chairman of Board of Shen Hua Group Zhang Xiwu, GM of China shipbuilding Heavy Industry Company Li Changyin.

Leaders of general office of the group company and China Shipping Bulk also participated in the ceremony.

The dimensions of the vessel are as follow: the overall length of 225 meters, breadth moulded of 32.26 meters, depth moulded of 19.6 meters, designed draft moulded of 12.2 meters, scantling draft moulded of 14.2 meters and speed 14.5nm. The vessels should be qualified by TIER II and PSPC.
