Nevsky Shipyard Splashes NEVA-LEADER 7

On October 18th, 2013 Nevsky Shipyard launched the vessel “NEVA-LEADER 7” of RSD49 project, built for North-Western Shipping Company, JSC. The project is developed by Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb, JSC.

The feature of RSD49 project vessel is the existence of a large middle hold in fifty two meters length, which makes it possible to transport “design” oversize and heavy-lift cargoes in one way voyage Europe-Caspian Sea.

RSD49 project vessels refer to «Volgo-Don Max» class in accordance with the classification accepted by Marine Engineering Bureau. It means that vessels displacement meet the requirements of Volga-Don Shipping Canal.

Length overall- 139,95 m

Breadth overall- 16,70 m

Depth – 6,00 m

Capacity of cargo holds – 10920 m3

Deadweight in river (draft 3.6 m) – about 4520 t

Deadweight at sea (draft 4.7 m) – about 7150 t

Service speed – 11,5 knots
