Photos: Oil Spill Response in Pechora Sea

Oil spill response exercises were conducted July 17-18 at exploration well No 3 of North-Dolginskoye oil field drilled by semi-submersible jackup drilling rig GSP Saturn on the continental shelf of Russia in the Pechora Sea, Russian Marine Emergency Rescue Service (Gosmorspassluzhba) said.

The oil spill response team was membered among others by multipurpose salvage ship “Spasatel Karev” and multipurpose AHTS Stril Commander.

The aim of the exercises was to check the preparedness of OSR capabilities of both the fleet and team of FBI Gosmorspassluzhba of Russia to tackle emergency oil spills.
