China: Afai Southern Shipyard Welcomes Damen’s Officials

Recently, Damen Group’s Product Director Ferries, Mr. Henk, Sourcing Manager, Mr. Martin, 4212 Project Manager, Mr. Johan etc. visited Afai Southern, General Manager of Afai Southern, Mr. Wu Mingyi hosted the guests warmly, and held a conversation regarding to the new cooperative project.

Damen Guests also inspected the building progress and quality situation of 4212 project, and were satisfied with the cooperative progress.

On August 26, the shipbuilding contract of 4212 project signed by Afai Southern and Damen Holland, entered into force officially. The project is a fast ferry, with Loa 42.2m, beam 11.6m, passenger capacity 443 people, and classification BV.

At present, the construction of this vessel is in full swing and the vessel is scheduled for delivery in early August of 2012.
