Severnav S.A. Shipyard Delivers Vessel GASCHEM WERRA

East-frisian shipping company took over the 6.500 cbm Ethylene-Gastanker built in Romania end of last year. Hartmann Shipping, settled in Leer, took over its newest vessel from Severnav S.A. Shipyard, Romania.

The modern Ethylene-tanker “GASCHEM WERRA” is a sister vessel to MT “GASCHEM WARNOW”, which was already delivered in June 2010. In the year 2007 the shipping company took over four gastanker of this own developed type (e. g. MT “GASCHEM MOSEL, MT “GASCHEM RHONE”).

The MT “GASCHEM WERRA” has a deadweight capacity of 7,420 tons and is equipped with two tanks. Further on the vessel is 115 meters long and has a breadth of 17 meters. The main engines generate an engine power of 4,500 kW and a speed of about 16 knots within a draught of 8.1 meters.

Severnav S.A. Shipyard is designing and building inland and marine vessels up to 10.000 dwt. The shipyard specialized in steel constructions, naval equipment and ship repairing works.It is also skilled in Aluminum, GRP and steel craft building. The shipyard can also undertake export-import activity, goods shipping and technical assistance. The outfitting quay has an available working area of 450 sq.m, with double berth and a basin with an (surface) area of 6.240 sq.m , the depth of water is 5,75m.
