Statoil Orders Two Jack-Up Rigs from Samsung Heavy (South Korea)

Samsung Heavy Industries Co Ltd.(SHI) announced today in its filing to the Korea Stock Exchange that it has received an order for the construction of two large-scale jack-up rigs from Statoil.

SHI also revealed that the value of the contract is approximately $1.3 billion. The delivery of the rigs is expected in October 2016.
