Update: Aibel Reveals Name of Worker Killed in Yard Accident

After it was earlier today reported that a person has died at Aibel’s Haugesund yard, the company has released the following press release.

“26 year old Solberg Andersen worked in Solutions & Services in Haugesund. He has been with the company since 2006, and was residing in Haugesund.

Employees who were directly involved in the incident and the deceased’s closest colleagues were earlier today gathered at the yard.

CEO Jan Skogseth, SVP Communications Bjørg Sandal, Employee representative Momir Repaja, EVP Resource Unit Jan Ståle Skaar and SVP Human Recourses Rune Helliesen met with the staff at Aibel Haugesund earlier today.

Several information meetings has been held at the yard throughout the day today.

The police (and the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority) continue their investigations at the site, and information about the event is expected after this work is completed.

Aibel has appointed an internal investigation team.
