According to Wood Group, the agreement has a contractual duration of three years with an option to extend for two additional years which will apply to both onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

Wood Group is already working on several contracts with the British oil major. Last year, BP awarded the company a five-year, $500 million engineering, procurement, and construction management services contract for work in Azerbaijan.

Under the contract, the company is supporting the Chirag, Central Azeri – Production Drilling Quarters, Central Azeri – Compression and Water Processing, East Azeri Production Drilling Quarters, West Azeri- Production Drilling Quarters, Deep Water Gunashli – Drilling & Utility Quarters, Deep Water Gunashli – Pressure Compression, and Water Utilities and Shah Deniz Stage 1 platforms in Azerbaijan.

In 2015, BP signed a five-year contract with Wood Group for engineering services related to BP’s existing subsea infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico, UK, and Norwegian continental shelves, and offshore Azerbaijan. The contract is being delivered from the company’s offices in Aberdeen, London, Norway, Houston, and Baku.

Robin Watson, Wood Group’s CEO, said: “This contract demonstrates our years of successful delivery of engineering services from our global offices. We look forward to continuing the strong relationship with BP and appreciate their confidence in us to plan and execute their complex global projects.”
