TMC said on Thursday it would deliver a large marine compressed air system to FPSO Anita Garibaldi. The company has not disclosed the value of the contract.

The compressed air system will consist of large-capacity service and instrument air compressors with associated air dryers and filters.

Hans Petter Tanum, TMC’s director of sales and business development, said: “We recently won the contract to supply the marine compressors to the Marlim-bound FPSO Anna Nery.

To also be chosen as a supplier to another Marlim-bound FPSO, the Anita Garibaldi, is a really nice recognition. The Brazilian FPSO market is active, and we hold a strong position here”.

The FPSO Anita Garibaldi will be deployed at the Marlim field situated in the Campos Basin. The field is located approximately 150 kilometres from Rio de Janeiro, on the southeast coast of Brazil. FPSO will be moored in approximately 670 meters water depth in 2022.

The project is the eighth occasion under which the companies have collaborated to operate FPSOs in Brazil.

The FPSO will be capable of processing 80,000 barrels of crude oil per day, 248 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, 390,000 barrels of water injection per day and will have a minimum storage capacity of 1,000,000 barrels of crude oil.

To remind, Modec, Mitsui, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Marubeni agreed to invest in a long-term charter of the FPSO in late January 2020.

The companies formed Marlim MV33 B.V. which received a letter of intent for a long-term charter agreement for the deployment of the FPSO Anita Garibaldi in October 2019 from Petrobras. The FPSO will be chartered for 25 years under this charter agreement.
