The United Kingdom has booked its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for June.

The 266,000-cbm Q-Max LNG tanker Rasheeda is expected to arrive at the UK’s South Hook LNG terminal on June 5 from Qatar, according to the Milford Haven Port Authority data.

Gas supply from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid was around 15.90 mcm/day on Monday morning, the latest National Grid data shows.

The South Hook terminal owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total SA can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
