Pakistan Wants More Gas from Iran

Pakistan officially demands more natural gas from Iran, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Javad Owji announced.

In recent months, Pakistan has officially requested to import more natural gas from Iran. Pakistan wants to increase gas import from 21.5 to 30 million cubic meters per day until 2014“, IRNA reported, quoting Owji as saying.

He also denied some media reports that Pakistan has requested Iran to decrease the price of its gas exports. He went on to say that, Iran has not received any formal request from Pakistan on revision of gas price.
