USA: LNG Imports Down 18 Percent in July-September

The U.S. DOE said in a report that LNG imports in the third quarter of 2011 (July-September) decreased 25.9 percent compared to last quarter and 18 percent compared to the third quarter of 2010.

Twenty-four cargoes of LNG were imported in July-September period.

LNG import prices were up 6.5 percent compared to last quarter and up 20.7 percent compared to the third quarter 2010.

There were 2 domestic LNG export cargoes and 4 LNG re-export cargoes in this quarter.

Domestic LNG exports were down 22.7 percent compared to last quarter and down 60 percent compared to the third quarter 2010.

LNG re-exports were also down 19 percent compared to last quarter but up over 276 percent compared to the third quarter of 2010.
