Iran Gas Export to Iraq in March

Gas delivery to Iraq will start as of next Iranian calendar year that begins 21 March 2012, Iranian minister of petroleum, Rostam Qasemi said.

He also said that construction of Iran-Iraq gas pipeline had progressed by 40 percent, SHANA news agency reported.

Speaking on the latest situation of Iran-Iraq-Syria gas pipeline, Mr. Qasemi said a trilateral commission had been set up with satisfactory progress in technical issues.

By stating that Iran- Pakistan gas pipeline should be completed by 2014, he assured that Iranian side of the pipeline would be completed ahead of schedule.

In connection to gas exports to Switzerland, Iranian minister of petroleum said gas export’s volume to the country had not been specified yet adding parliament and government of Turkey have ratified gas transit to Europe that facilitate Iran’s gas exports to the continent.
