Australia: Arrow Welcomes Bowen Pipeline Approval

Arrow Welcomes Arrow Bowen Pipeline Approval

Arrow has welcomed the approval of the Arrow Bowen Pipeline (ABP) by the State Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP).

The ABP is one of five large developments that make up Arrow’s planned coal seam gas (CSG) – liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project. The 580 km long buried pipeline would deliver CSG from Arrow’s proposed Bowen Gas Project gas fields to a proposed LNG plant at Gladstone.

Arrow Energy CEO Andrew Fau lkner said the State Government approval was another important milestone for the project after the Arrow Surat Pipeli ne was approved in 2010. “This is welcome news for our overall project and demonstrates we’re meeting the rigorous government approvals pr ocess,” Mr Faulkner said.

“Arrow currently employs about 180 staff in the Bowen Basi n in our Moranbah operations.

“Our Moranbah gas project, operated in partnership with AGL, is one of the largest domestic CSG fields in Australia, operating since 2004.

“It supplies gas to both the Moranbah and Townsville power stations and mineral refining facilities in north Queensland. ”
