Altamira LNG Receives Cargo

Altamira liquefied natural gas terminal in Mexico received a cargo of LNG on Sunday, according to the Port of Altamira website.

The 157,610 cbm Seri Balqis sailed from Yemen’s only LNG export terminal in Balhaf, shipping data reveals.

In 2011, Vopak and Enagas have reached an agreement with Shell, Total and Mitsui to acquire 100% of the shares in the LNG import terminal in Altamira.

The terminal consists of 2 tanks of 150,000 cubic meters (cbm) each and a jetty capable of receiving LNG vessels with a capacity of up to 216,000 cbm.
