Replenishment contract for Van Oord

Van Oord in The Netherlands has been contracted by the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management to carry out the country’s biggest foreshore replenishment project ever.

In a project that will continue until early 2009, Van Oord’s trailing suction hopper dredgers will deposit more than 8 million cubic metres of sand off the coast at Den Helder.

The contract is valued at around Euros 27 million.
