The company noted in its statement it is looking for a single cargo of 60,000 to 70,000 cubic meters in volume.

The delivery is scheduled for one of the three slots in January 2-5, January 14-17 and January 30-February 2.

The tender for next winter’s peak shaving LNG cargo closes on December 17, the company said.

Peak Shaving is aimed at making available to SNAM Rete Gas, in the first quarter of 2020, previously-stored gas, in the form of LNG, in order to meet possible peaks in demand during wintertime.

Operating since autumn 2009, the Adriatic LNG regasification terminal assures to Italy about 10 percent of national gas consumptions.

Adriatic LNG has delivered more than 61 billion cubic meters of gas to the national pipeline network, corresponding to more than half of domestic consumption in 2018, coming by ship from eight countries, Qatar, Egypt, Trinidad and Tobago, Equatorial Guinea, Norway, Nigeria, United States and Angola.

Adriatic LNG is co-controlled by ExxonMobil Italiana Gas and Qatar Terminal Limited (a unit of Qatar Petroleum) and participated by SNAM.
