Angola LNG restart pushed back to late 2015

After a major rupture on a flare line shut the facility down after less than a year of operation, Angola LNG facility’s restart has been pushed further back to late 2015.

A company official said the repairs will continue into next year with plant’s restart being anticipated in late 2015, reports Reuters.

Design flaws, corrosion issues on nearly new equipment pushed the unofficial estimates for the cost of the project up to at least $12 billion.

The spokesperson would not confirm these estimates saying the cost of the repairs is a commercially confidential matter.
