API names new general counsel

The American Petroleum Institute said that Stacy Linden has been promoted to general counsel for the association.

Stacy Linden joined API in 2007 and has served as managing counsel for legal affairs at API since late 2009, providing litigation counsel, advice on political and regulatory compliance issues, and legal strategy for the oil and gas sector.

API’s president and CEO Jack Gerard welcomed the promotion adding that Linden “has a keen knowledge of the legal issues regarding the oil and gas sector, as well as extensive experience in large scale, multi-district litigation.”
