Argentina Secures 14 LNG Cargoes

Argentina has secured 14 liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes in a tender that was launched by YPF earlier this month for 24 cargoes for delivery in May through September, but disputes over price and scarce supplies limited its options, Reuters informs.

YPF, which rejected offers from some of the 16 companies that participated in the tender, secured 10-14 shipments priced at between $15.50 and $16.50 mmBtu, according to Reuters.

Among the suppliers were BP, Shell, Gazprom , Excelerate, Statoil and Petronas.
