Australia: PTTEP Provides Update on Maple-2 Well

PTTEP Provides Update on Maple-2 Well

PTTEP reported the successful drilling results of the appraisal well, Maple-2. The well was drilled to a total depth of 4,150 metres on July 1, 2012. The flow rate testing indicates the rate of approximately 30 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day (MMSCFD) and 696 barrel of condensate per day (BCPD).

The well results enhance PTTEP’s knowledge of the resource and deliverability of the Cash-Maple field and are significant information to further justify the project’s economic viability.

PTTEP is undergoing a concept select study of the development options for the Cash-Maple Field in 2012. These development options include possible Floating LNG. It is expected that this study will be completed by end of third quarter of 2012 and be integrated with the results of the Maple-2 appraisal well.
