Australia: Woodside celebrates 60th birthday

Woodside of Australia held last night the company’s 60th anniversary celebration to thank and recognise those who have played a significant part in the Woodside story.

“From humble beginnings in 1954, the vast efforts of many have enabled Woodside to become Australia’s largest oil and gas company today,” the company said in  a statement.

Besides the company’s 60th anniversary, Woodside also celebrates 30 years of domestic gas production and 25 years of LNG exports.

“We thank our employees, joint venture partners, industry, government, the communities in which we work and all those who have contributed to our success over the decades,” Woodside added.
