Awilco Takes Delivery of LNG Tanker WilPride

Awilco LNG said that the “WilPride”, the company’s second 156,000 cbm Tri Fuel Diesel Electric powered newbuilding, was delivered from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) of South Korea on 28 November.

The vessel was delivered on budget and on time, Awilco LNG said in a statement. The vessel was subsequently sold to Teekay LNG Partners, and bareboat chartered back by Awilco LNG for a period of four years plus a one-year extension option in Awilco LNG’s favor.

The vessel has been fixed for its maiden voyage, the company added.
