Bahrain Summit to Gather LNG Experts

With the increasing demand for energy domestically, Middle Eastern exports of LNG are set to decrease for the first time in 20 years. Countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Jordan, Libya and Lebanon have all announced plans to build LNG import terminals to meet demand.

Held at the Gulf Hotel in Manama, Bahrain from the 20th – 23rd of January, the MENA LNG Regasification Summit will highlight the region’s drive to import LNG amid growing energy demands.

Under the patronage of His Excellency, Skaikh Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Minister of Finance, Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas and Chairman of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), and supported by NOGA and BAPCO the summit will focus on developing the region’s LNG industry and examining the impact of emerging players on the global LNG value chain.

Over 2 main conference days and 2 additional workshop days, leading industry experts will discuss trading growth potential and commercial partnerships whilst also considering how to develop a world scale LNG infrastructure in the Middle East. Speakers include, Captain Feisal A. Saad, Ras Laffan Port Manager, Qatar Petroleum who will be discussing how Qatar developed a world class LNG export infrastructure within the Ras Laffan port, while Khaled Mubarak AlMushileh, Corporate Planning Manager, KNPC will present on Kuwait’s strategic choice to develop its LNG import terminal to satisfy domestic demand.
