Bayfield Abandons Trinidad Well

Bayfield Abandons Trinidad Well

Bayfield Energy Holdings plc, an upstream oil and gas exploration and production company announces that the well EG7, located in the offshore Galeota Licence Area in Trinidad and Tobago, has been sidetracked to a total depth of 7,090 (6,678ft TVD).

Some thin hydrocarbon bearing sandstones were logged at 5,500ft but due to deteriorating hole conditions, it was not possible to run a sampling tool.

The decision was made to plug and abandon the well. Results of well EG7 will be studied and incorporated into the re-evaluation of the EG1/EG7 structure.
