Bechtel completes Driftwood LNG FEED

Tellurian said the front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for its 26 mtpa Driftwood LNG project has been completed by Bechtel.
LNG-engineer additionally submitted a lump sum turnkey, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) proposal for the Driftwood LNG terminal to Tellurian.
Speaking of the milestone, Tellurian’s president and CEO Meg Gentle said the EPC proposal enhances cost certainty, which will support commercial and financing discussions.
“We anticipate executing a binding EPC agreement with Bechtel this autumn, and we intend to begin producing LNG in 2022,” Gentle added.
According to the estimated project timeline, Tellurian expects to sign LNG sales and purchase deals in the first half of 2018 with, FERC authorization, financial investment decision and construction start all expected in mid-2018.
