Beypore Port Dredging Set for October (India)

A pre-dredging hydrographic survey at the Beypore Port has officially begun, according to indiatimes.com.

This project is being carried out by the hydrographic wing of the Kerala Ports.

The Kerala State Maritime Development Corporation hopes to commence dredging by the first week of October.

“The dredging works will herald a new chapter in the development of the port as an all-weather intermediate port in the state. Once the dredging works are completed, we can welcome bigger cargo vessels and even small container vessels and feeder vessels,” Port Officer Abraham V. Kuriakose stated.
