BG Sees Only One or Two Cargoes from Egypt in 2014

LNG player BG Group does not expect more than one or two LNG cargoes out of Egypt in 2014, the company’s Chairman Andrew Gould said on Thursday.

Gould also said he did not expect BG to make any significant progress in its talks with Egypt on higher prices for gas which Egypt is diverting to its domestic market before presidential and parliamentary elections later this year, Reuters informs.

BG delivered 178 LNG cargoes in 2013, 19 fewer than in 2012, including 13 fewer long – term supply cargoes (eight from Egypt, five from Nigeria) and six fewer spot cargoes.
