BMT to Attend Oceanology International Conference

BMT Group Ltd (BMT) will present its portfolio of offshore support products and services on Stand R400 at the Oceanology International conference taking place in London’s ExCeL this month.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with BMT’s technical experts and discuss the specific challenges they face.

Louise Ledgard, Head of Oil & Gas Business Development at BMT Group explains: “Operating further offshore and in more hostile marine environments is becoming ever more important for the renewables and offshore oil and gas sectors. This creates unique challenges in understanding metocean conditions and monitoring the integrity of structures and facilities designed to operate under their influence. We continue to invest in better understanding these challenges and providing innovative solutions for our customers.”

Supporting the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy sectors throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, BMT ARGOSS provides maritime, meteorological and metocean consultancy services, specialising in weather forecasting, metocean operability and design and vessel response behaviour. The organisation’s Head of Vessel Response Services, David Hurdle will take to the stage on day two of the conference outlining his thoughts and experience of working in deep water environments.

With over 20 years’ experience in the design, procurement, integration and installation of monitoring systems worldwide, BMT Scientific Marine Services’ experts will also be on hand to discuss recent technological advances.

By taking a more holistic approach to monitoring the environment and the structural response, BMT Scientific Marine Services is able to provide a complete understanding of an asset’s long-term integrity, helping its customers to reduce potential downtime and minimise risks.
