BP Plans 109 Tangguh LNG Cargoes This Year

BP Indonesia aims to produce 109 LNG cargoes in 2013 from its Tangguh plant in West Papua compared with 107 in 2013.

Of the 109 LNG cargoes, 102 will be exported and seven will meet domestic demand, including from FSRU’s, Platts reported citing an unnamed government official as saying.

Tangguh, which consists of two LNG trains each with a capacity of 3.8 mtpa, is operated by BP Indonesia and the company holds a 37.16% interest in the LNG project.

Other Tangguh contract partners are MI Berau B.V. (16.30%), CNOOC Ltd. (13.90%), Nippon Oil Exploration (Berau), Ltd. (12.23%), KG Berau/KG Wiriagar (10.00%), LNG Japan Corporation (7.35%), and Talisman (3.06%).
