Bremen Seeks Wind Energy Terminal Builders

The City of Bremen and bremenports GmbH & Co. KG are seeking contractors for the construction of a wind energy terminal.

The plan is to build a heavy-duty terminal for the wind energy industry in Bremerhaven Blexer, the Offshore Terminal Bremerhaven (OTB).

The construction work is required for the terminal (quay and hinterland), terminal access and southern dike. All hydraulic engineering services will be taking place under tidal influences, bremenports pointed out.

Offshore Terminal Bremerhaven (OTB) in the south of the city is scheduled for completion by 2018. An annual quantity of up to 160 wind turbines could be pre-assembled, stored and transhipped on the 25-hectare terminal.
