BW Group’s CFO resigns

Singapore-based BW Group on Tuesday said the group CFO Nicholas Gleeson has resigned from his position, effective June 3. 

Carsten Mortensen, BW Group CEO said that Gleeson, who served the company in various capacities with the BW Group of companies was “instrumental in listing BW LPG on the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2013”.

BW Group, the company involved in shipping oil and gas operates an LNG fleet of 21 vessels, 16 in operation and 5 newbuildings with a total capacity of 3,274,012 cubic meters. The vessels include the FSRU BW Singapore that serves as an import terminal in Egypt.

Out of the five newbuildings, one is a floating regasification and storage unit on order at Samsung Heavy Industries with four LNG carriers on order at DSME. All vessels are scheduled for delivery from 2016 through 2019.

In addition, the company owns a stake in two LNG newbuildings at Hudong Shipyard in China. BW Group’s full fleet comprises 150 vessels.
