Canada: LNG Energy Announces a New Executive Vice President

LNG Energy Ltd. (“LNG” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Mr. William (Bill) E. Begley has joined LNG Energy as Executive Vice President.

Mr. Begley has more than 25 years of energy industry and finance experience and began his career with BP. Mr. Begley has held senior positions in energy banking including Solomon and was recently President of Stone & Webster Management Consulting, specializing in the design and development of major energy projects globally.

As a leading energy consultant, Mr. Begley was instrumental in the development of the liberalized natural gas markets in Australia and an active advisor to several major energy companies in Europe. Mr. Begley also brings a strong background in leading major capital energy projects including liquefied natural gas and related petro-chemical and natural gas monetization projects.

These skills will complement the Company’s current initiatives well. In addition, Mr. Begley has also been involved in over $100 billion in global energy related mergers and acquisitions, initially with Salomon Brothers and more recently on an independent basis through WEB Gruppe LLC and will be active in those areas for LNG Energy.

William Begley’s graduate JD/MBA studies are in International Business & Energy Law, and his undergraduate studies were at St. Michaels’ College in Vermont. “As a veteran of the international oil and gas sector, we are pleased to welcome Bill to the LNG team at this exciting stage in the company’s development,” said Dave Afseth, President and CEO of LNG.

“There are significant ongoing developments in the rapidly developing Polish gas arena where we anticipate our first well to be spudded in the next 4 weeks. In addition, our PNG assets are under review to select additional seismic and drill targets for next year’s programs. Bill’s experience and expertise will be a key component in adding substantial value to both these assets.”
