Cheniere: Corpus Christi liquefaction project 30 pct done (Gallery)

Cheniere Energy informed in a February filing to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that the Corpus Christi liquefaction project in Texas is 30.7 percent complete. 

Cheniere on Monday said that during the month of January engineering stage of the project reached 95 percent completion while procurement is at 44.2 percent. Bechtel’s construction progressed to 2.9 percent.

According to the update, engineering has focused on continuing to update design for cable tray drawings, one line diagrams, and loop diagrams.

Construction focused on progressing permanent plant earthworks and temporary facilities site preparation and substantially completed the craft parking area and laydown area temporary roads.

In the marine area, dredging of the vessel berths continued, work began in the east jetty with two casings drilled and installed.

In the month of January, Bechtel completed concrete placements for Tank C foundation base slab perimeter pours and Tank A first wall pour, concrete placement for Train 1 compressor area pedestals and began the propane columns, cryo pipe rack base slabs, began OSBL concrete installation in refrigerant storage area and in utility pipe rack.
