China: Afai Southern Shipyard Completes Internal Audit

On April 25 and 26, based on the annual internal audit plan of 2012, Afai Southern shipyard carried out the internal audit of quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems in accordance with the internal audit program.

During the audit, the auditing team actively engaged in the process giving top priority to undertaking appropriate corrective and preventive measures, followed by continuation of management system improvement.

The audit showed that the quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems of Afai Southern’s shipbuilding meet the stipulated procedural requirements, concluding that the actual operation of the systems is suitable, sufficient and effective.
