China: CIC Changxing Shipyard Redelivers MC Santa Rebecca

On March 31st, CIC Changxing Shipyard completed the repair of MC Santa Rebecca. MC Santa Rebecca with a length of 281m and breadth of 32m is owned by CPO company from Germany, as its sister vessel MC Santa Rafaela. The main repair items included the renewal of C/H vent duct, water-proof flat bar, rubber channel, pad box, shell plates iwo FOT and WBT, bulkhead of E/R LO tank and settling tank, etc.

The shipyard made a good performance to achieve the owner’s high standard of technology and quality. When installing and welding the shell and web plates, the yard’s workers strictly met the requirement of welding procedure and inspected every process by themselves before the handover for the shipowner’s inspection to achieve one-time qualification.

In order to dock the vessel smoothly, the production department rapidly organized all the related workshops to rearrangement the dock blocks and made full preparation in time. Following the business philosophy of “keeping integrity and upright, Shipowners’ first”, the repair team respected and performed the owner’s request sufficiently.
