China: CIC General Manager Talks Cooperation with Overseas Customers

On Oct. 20, Mr. Wu Chengye, General Manager & Board Member of CIC, met with Mr. Idan Ofer and delegation members of Quantum Pacific Group at CIC head office.

Mr. Idan Ofer is the principal of Quantum Pacific Group. He has a share in Israel Corporation and Pacific Drilling SA through Quantum Pacific Group. Its subsidiary company, Zim Integrated Shipping, owns a globally famous container fleet. In recent years, CIC has successfully undertaken several large-scale container vessel repairs at CIC Changxing ship repair base.

CIC has drawn the attention of Quantum Pacific Group to its increasing influence on ship repair in international shipping business and increasing competitive strength with regard to shipbuilding in offshore engineering & shipping industry. Both sides held open & friendly discussions on potential forms of cooperation.
