Kunlun Starts Operations at LNG Plant in Golmud

On 11 December 2011, Phase one of the LNG Plant in Golmud, Qinghai Province, invested and constructed by Kunlun Energy (Qinghai) Company Limited, which is wholly-owned by Kunlun Energy Company Limited, commenced successfully to produce quality LNG products.

The Project covers an area of 270 mu. With total investment of 225 million RMB, the designed daily capacity of Phase one is 350,000 cubic meters. It was planned for construction in June 2010 and began construction on 6 March 2011. The Project had overcome difficulties such as short construction period and new technologies through nine months of construction, while strictly implemented the management system. With the construction completed in late October 2011, both the quality and quantity were guaranteed. Subsequently, it successfully commenced operation upon a month of power coordination and preparation for operation.

The successful operation of the Project will make great contributions to improve the structure of energy supply in Qinghai and Tibet regions, and further extend the natural gas industry chain, advance added-value of the products and increase income.
