China: Sanfu Shipyard’s Newly Employed Students Attended Lecture on Ship Structure

On the evening of March 19th and 21st, lecture titled Ship (Hull ) Structure Drawing Reading was organized by Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering’s Training Center and given by Technical Department of Hull section senior engineer Mr. Zhang Xianyin. More than 40 newly recruited college students from different departments of Sanfu shipyard attended the lecture.

Starting his lecture with the introduction of the characteristics of different types of vessels, Senior Engineer Zhang explained names of main parts of vessels of different types and identified principal particulars and major symbols, which made the trainees present have a basic understanding of the general ship knowledge. Then, Engineer Zhang shed light on ship building process, technology and how to make use of Auto-CAD software to carry out ship graphing respectively and elaborated on the application of ship graphing on the ship building process.

Through this lecture, newly employed college students will have a clearer understanding of ship graphing and drawing reading and put their newly-acquired knowledge into their daily jobs .
