SF Shipyard Books Order for Four Bulk Carriers

Recently, Taizhou Sanfu shipyard received a new order for building four 51.000 DWT Bulk Carriers, which should be delivered between the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014 as per the contract. The newly-received order is placed by a Chinese ship owner with Sanfu shipyard. These serial vessels to be built are mainly for domestic offshore transportation.

Against the backdrop of sluggish shipping market world-widely, this new order has become the fist large-scale one that Sanfu has received over the past year, which is of utmost significance.

It is known to all that over the past month, the production situation is thriving, such as the successful delivery of No. 2 and No.3 16.9000 DWT BCs respectively, the Naming Ceremony for No.4 16.900 DWT BC,the successful launching for No. 7 16.900 DWT BC, the sea trail for one 12000 DWT MPC being carried out according to the schedule, and the steel-cutting for one 51.000 DWT BC.

Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co., Ltd is a robust large-scale ship-building company. As early as 2006, it was ranked as one of “Jiangsu Top 10 Shipbuilding Enterprises”. At present, main products include 6500DWT Bulk Carrier, 12000 DWT MPC Vessel, 57000 DWT Bulk Carrier,16500 DWT Product Oil/Chemical Tanker,16800 DWT Oil Tanker/Chemical Vessel,92500 DWT Bulk Carrier, 16900 DWT Bulk Carrier and 200’-450’ Deck Barge etc.
