SF Shipyard Organises Blood Donation Activity

Even extraordinarily cold weather didn’t damp down SF shipyard employees’ enthusiasm to donate blood. On February 7th around 8 o’clock, a blood collection bus from Taizhou Center Blood Bank was spotted parking at the south gate of SF shipyard.

Under the leadership of Mr Liu Yongtao, Production vice Manager, blood donors had waited there early in the morning, soon a long but orderly queue was formed, serious and lively. Blood donors, with the help of working staff at site, carefully filled in the form. Following that, some rolled up their sleeves to take their blood pressure while the others waiting for their turn of blood drawing.

During the course, seeing many employees take out their Blood Donation Certificates. Zhou Jinglei, vice manager of slipway workshop, was just one of them, saying that he would insist on blood donation every year from this year on to make a contribution to society. According to statistics, there were more than 40 employees from SF shipyard and donated voluntarily 200-300ml. blood after passing the physical examinations, adding over 10,000ml. blood to the Blood Bank.

Ms Tao Yan, office manager who arranged this blood donation activity, said that blood donation is a kind of public benefit activities, which not only does good to promote the spirit of unselfish dedication but also a good way that enterprises contribute to society. She also added that, recently shipyard had organized two blood donation activities, and would continue doing this annually. The atmosphere at site was relaxed and active, harmonious and impressive. Blood donors felt proud and honored that they were able to contribute to society in such a way as a member of SF shipyard.
